Coding is a wonderful gateway for children to learn more about the tech world! It empowers them to think logically, solve problems and overall create unique solutions. If you’re looking for a great way to teach kids coding both on and offline, read on….

1. A Coding Package

This TPT coding package is an awesome start!

If you’re looking for a way to introduce your students to coding, this is it! Choose from printable practice and games OR digital practice and games (compatible with powerpoint and google slides).

Here is what is included:

8 seasonal coding practice sheets/slides.
Kids can cut and paste the arrows. OR they can use the attached powerpoint slides to drag and drop arrows.
3 dice game sheets/slides. These are great to play in groups of 2-4 kids.
1 blank bingo printable/slide and bingo card printables/slides. This is so fun as a whole class activity!
3 spinner code games. These come with either a printable spinner or a virtual spinner. Click here for an example of the virtual spinner.

2. Code.org

This is a great website for coding practice! Kids can create a free account, which starts them off at a really slow pace and gradually builds up their skill set.

3. Code with Google

This is a great resource of educators to monitor, assign and track student progress! There are different projects available (all with a listed age group recommendation). Each project introduces new and exciting coding elements that can really get creative thinking going!

4. Coding Robots

There are so many coding and STEM resources available on Amazon and in toy stores. Here are a few favorites:
